As an experienced Senior Programme Manager of The System Management Division (SMD) of the NATO CIS Services Agency (NCSA) with responsibility for supporting and maintaining all NATO Satellite Communication Systems, John can provide full system management support to include the following tasks: - Development of MODEM operating configurations for inter-operability and power/bandwidth efficiency.
- Manage in-house second and third level support; and contractor support.
- Perform network monitoring and ground segment capability planning and liaise with other NCSA Division/Branches for Space segment planning.
- Help desk function.
- Logistic support and system management of Transportable Satellite Ground Terminals (TSGT's), Deployable Satellite Ground Terminals (DSGT's), Bi-Band Satellite Suitcase Terminals (BBSST's), Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT's) also Inmarsat and Iridium support.
- Maintenance of TSGT, DSGT, BBSST and VSAT inventory's (using NATO Depot & Support System (NDSS)).
- Creating and maintaining TSGT, DSGT, BBSST and VSAT Web page extensions.
- Documenting the operating configuration of the TSGT, DSGT, BBSST and VSAT's and performing configuration management.
- Continually develop and maintain documentation for the operational support of the TSGT, DSGT, BBSST and VSAT systems. Develop user manuals, On-the Job Training (OJT) documentation also Preventive Maintenance Instructions (PMI's)
- Establish (as required) and maintain training requirements/capabilities for operators.
